The Animator

I caught the fever of animation after i got my first camera, and it turned out to be a webcam too. By digital magic i made a ball of clay roll around. I fooled around for a year and got to the level i’m at today with dedication and very little sunlight. I’ve found the best qualities for an animator to have is an active fear of sunlight, a social life that consists of one or more pets, and a love to create life by infusing magic into puppets. My main tip to any beginning animator is to enjoy the process as much as possible, instead of rushing for the final product. That and to learn what an armature is early on.

I have never had any sort of budget. My largest was $100. Which i quickly exceeded. That was for my Mind Sprocket commercial, released in February 2008. That really pushed me to the level i’m at so quickly. It’s important to find projects you really are excited about and push them to a level you thought you couldn’t do. That’s the only reason i can animate as well as i can today.

This blog is sort of a journal for me. I hope to interest some people, maybe get a subscriber or two, but all i want is to make an archive and a showcase for prospective clients and me… Though i would love for it to get to be a popular blog.

One of the things i want this blog to do is to let people know that everything they watch, from Spiderman 3 to Bridge to the Terabithia, all have animation in them. Computer graphics is just realistic looking animation. Drawings that draw themselves are animation. Almost everything has animation.
